Off to a rocky start

What a start to life I have had. I was born on Monday March 16th 2009 at 4.29pm by way of emergency cesarian. After 30 hours of labour mum and the doctors gave up waiting for me so decided to take more abrupt measures to speed up the process.
After 4 days in hospital the doctors let me and mum go back home to my parents temporary apartment in the Old Town of Montreal. The visit was short lived though, and I was back in hospital within 24 hours and spent another 7 days in there. I really don't like hospitals that much, these funny people with masks and white jackets kept prodding me with needles and all sorts of other instruments.
So although it was not fun it was required to find out what was wrong with me and to help me get better. Besides it was not too bad as mum and dad spent a lot of time with me as well. When the doctors said I could go home though it was a big relief and to get home and resume normal activities.
I had a pleasant surprise on the Saturday as my grandfather (John) arrived from New Zealand. Its been great to have him here in Montreal and I enjoy the morning walks and having a sleep on him after dinner.
Yesterday the nurse came to check up on me, she said I am doing really well and have already put on some weight, I am already over 8 pounds and getting stronger and bigger every day. My next visit back to hospital is in two weeks for another CT scan just to make sure everything is ok, after that I will hopefully start physiotherapy. I am looking forward to that, by the time of my parents wedding in August I will be fitter and stronger than any other babies my age, you wait and see!
Dad is going back to work next week so I am looking forward to spending more time with mum. Hopefully she will take me shopping in the Old Town, there are lots of good shops and restaurants around here. We may as well make the most of it until we move into our new home in Pointe-Claire on April 25th.
I have attached some pics from my first few weeks of life:

Just after I was born I took the time to chill out on dads chest for a few hours. Mum was still in recovery but was fun to hand out with dad for the first few hours while mum was getting better.

Thats me in my incubator at St Justine hospital where I spent 7 days, as you can see they had me connected to few monitors to keep an eye on me, I really dont know what all the fuss was about!

Me having an afternoon nap on grandad NZ, he came all the way to Canada just to see me!
Bye for now, I will write more when I have some more news...
